Well, here we are at design journal 4! These past few weeks I've attempted to learn Articulate 360. As I mentioned in my previous post, the learning was slow-going which was surprising because I usually pick up new technology fairly easily. But after spending days on the software, watching countless Storyline 360 explainer videos, and reading tons of S360 knowledge base articles and only completing two design elements, I decided that the software was not worth the effort. At the end of the day I have to be able to account for the hours my boss pays me for, and I would have a hard time accounting for learning Storyline. 1) It took a long time to learn. 2) It did not look that great when it was finished. 3) Other programs produce a more professional-looking product in less time. But he was leading it and I was designing it to his specifications. Now I will postpone the design of the training until the new VP of Talent begins and I work with him to find out what he wants. So now my project is changing focus from Manager training to Train the Trainer Training. Fortunately that project has been running and still has two weeks to go until it is over, so the timeli...
